The GeWu Optics BLS-SA/PL series BioLED control module is a modular, fully customizable turnkey solution suitable for optogenetics, fluorescence excitation, and other biophotonics applications. The control module aims to control the Goptica BLS series LED light source to generate precise timing and high-intensity light pulses required for optogenetics experiments, to activate channel rhodopsin (ChR2, ChR1, etc.) and salt rhodopsin (NpHR), thereby stimulating and inhibiting neurons. The control module adopts a linear LED driver design, which can eliminate the light intensity fluctuations and oscillations often observed when using low-cost Buckpuck nonlinear drivers. Clean and highly reproducible pulses are crucial for quantitative experiments. Supports CW mode and pulse mode. The time resolution of the control module is 20us, and the light intensity can be adjusted in increments of 0.1%. Each driver channel on the control module has its own TTL trigger input. The triggering mode supports rising edge, falling edge, and following mode. The BioLED light source solution from Gewu Optics is equipped with Windows based operating software, featuring an intuitive and powerful graphical user interface. We also provide software development kits (SDKs) for users to integrate into environments such as Labview and Matlab. Provide an optional touch screen control board (P/N: BLS-PAD-000) (see figure below), which customers can use to control LEDs without the need for a computer.
The control module can also be operated without connecting to a computer or touch screen. This is because custom pulse sequences can be programmed and stored in the control module (through software), and then the light source can be operated separately and triggered by external TTL pulses. |
