• Compact universal 1-channel and 2-channel LED controllers with software control for Gewu Optics

    格物-slc-ma_compact_led_driver.jpg

    The compact 1-channel and 2-channel computer-controlled universal LED drivers from Gewu Optics are designed to drive various LED light sources. Each unit is equipped with powerful PC software and a GUI that has been used, allowing users to drive LEDs without writing any code. In addition, a fully functional SDK is provided for users to write their own software and integrate Mightex's LED drivers into their systems. In addition, the driver has a built-in protection function that allows users to limit the LED driving current and voltage. Each channel can be individually configured to operate in one of the following two modes: normal mode (or DC mode): the output current is constant and can be adjusted from 0 mA to 1000 mA through a USB interface (using software); Strobe mode: Channel output pulse width modulation (PWM) periodic strobe mode, which can be turned on through software triggers. The strobe mode can last indefinitely or for a preset number of cycles. The frequency of PWM flicker can reach up to 500Hz. In addition, each channel can be individually disabled and enabled. The disabled channel will not output any voltage or current.

      1. The maximum output voltage is 3V lower than the input voltage of the power supply. For example, if the input voltage of the power supply is Vdc=24V, the maximum output voltage Vmax is (Vdc-3V)=21V;

    • 2. If the channel output voltage is Vd and the output current is Id, then they must simultaneously satisfy: (1) Vd<=Vmax; (2)Id <= Imax; (3)Vd *Id <= Pmax;

    • 3. Each cycle of PWM square wave consists of two (2) "steps": ON time and OFF time. The minimum value for each step is 1000 μ s, with a minimum increment of 100 μ s.

    • 4.The LED controller in the customer's system should provide appropriate heat dissipation to prevent overheating from causing the LED controller to shut down for protection purposes. In addition, the total output current of all channels should not exceed the capacity of the power adapter.

  • SIRIUS Universal LED Driver - Frequently Asked Questions

    Our 'standard' LED driver cannot meet your needs? Don't worry - you can find a solution here! Otherwise, please call+86-150-0085-3620 or send an email to sales@goptica.com Please inform us of your requirements.

    Q: Is the Sirius LED controller only applicable to the LED light source of Gewu Optics?
    Answer: No. The Sirius LED controller is a universal LED driver that can drive LEDs of any brand, wavelength/color, and various output powers.

    Q: Do I have to always use a PC to control the Sirius LED driver?
    Answer: No. The Sirius LED controller has a built-in non-volatile memory for storing control information, including control mode settings and waveform data. In other words, you can program the Sirius LED controller using a PC, disconnect it from the PC, and then use it as a standalone device. Therefore, the Sirius LED controller can be pre programmed to perform various completely different tasks without always being connected to a PC.

    Q: What is your solution if I need 8x (or 12x) channels?
    Answer: The LED driver software of Gewu Optics can simultaneously drive multiple Sirius LED drivers. For example, by connecting 2x (or 3x) SLC-AA04-x 4-channel LED drivers to a PC via RS232 or USB, it is easy to build 8x (or 12x) channel LED drivers. The following is a schematic diagram showing how to implement this operation.

    Q: Can I write my own application software to control the Sirius LED driver?
    Answer: Yes, the Sirius LED controller comes with a command set and a powerful SDK for RS232 and USB interfaces. You can write your own application software based on the command set or SDK, or use our OEM resources to develop application software for you.

    Q: Does the SLC series LED driver provide IAP (in application programming) functionality?
    Answer: Yes, the SLC series LED driver has on-site firmware upgrade function, which can be upgraded through Mightex's standard LED driver software. With this feature, customers can easily upgrade firmware.
